Important information regarding access to education resources

Online courses and library resources are accessed through Ko Awatea LEARN. Ko Awatea LEARN is the new DHB focused e-learning and education community with a wide range of programmes, courses and community forums available to DHB staff and others. Resources available include  Lippincott Procedures and Nursing Reference Center. Examples of modules available are the male catheterisation learing package and the wound care module  – for core wound care knowledge.

To access  these resources and a wide range of other materials  you need to register with Ko Awatea LEARN.

To register follow these steps:

  1. Go to Ko Awatea LEARN
  2. Click on “register”
  3. Click on “Create a New Account”
  4. Complete the form-provide your work email address if you have one. For “organization” choose Waikato District Health Board, provide your employee number or our Nursing Council registration number.
  5. Click on “Join Ko Awatea LEARN”
  6. If your email is not accepted or you need help, contact the Waikato DHB Library on 07 8398880 or email library@waikatodhb.health.nz

Continence Association New Zealand Adult continence on line education package cost $50 – Four hours of video and presentations with check questions and answers to test your knowledge at the end

Mental health on-line modules from HealthProEd modules are $17 each and will be loaded to this site.  The provider also does day workshops reflective practice, emotional intelligence and others.
